Before lighting, ensure the candle is placed on a heat-resistant surface away from drafts, flammable materials, and out of reach of pets and children. When lighting the candle for the first time, allow it to burn until the wax pool reaches the edges of the container to prevent tunneling and ensure an even melt. Always burn candles within sight and extinguish them when leaving the room or going to sleep. Avoid burning the candle for more than 4 hours at a time, and never move a burning candle.
